The daily loop

Four steps, one evening

The daily loop

Four steps, one evening

Everyone else sells a database. The database is not the bottleneck. The evening before a hearing is.

  1. 6.40 pm

    The listing arrives

Your matter is listed for tomorrow. Lawmind sees it and starts work without being asked.

  2. 9.15 pm

    The briefing lands

Where the matter stands, what is pending, the authorities on the live issue, and a preparation checklist. Delivered by push, readable offline.

  3. 10.02 pm

    The draft takes shape

Structured input becomes a court-format draft in English or Hindi. Edit it paragraph by paragraph. Export to Word or PDF.

  4. 10.31 am

    You walk in ready

Ninety seconds in the corridor is enough, because the work was done last night. The matter workspace keeps all of it.

What actually arrives

The briefing, taken apart

Four sections, in the order you need them when you are standing up and the matter is called in ten minutes.

Readable offline

It arrives before you ask

The listing appears, and the briefing is built overnight. You do not open an app and start a search.

Ninety seconds, standing up

Posture, pending applications, the live issue, a checklist. In that order, because that is the order you need them in a corridor.

Verified authorities carry no badge

Silence means confirmed. Only the exception speaks, and it tells you where to check it yourself.

Court decision search

Ask in plain language. Or in Hindi.

Five judgments with title, citation, court, date, a two-sentence holding and the operative paragraph.

Verification

You're covered

An advocate who files a document citing a case that does not exist is humiliated in open court. Lawmind is built so that cannot happen to you.

The model never writes a citation

It only ever references judgments handed to it from retrieved context. Every field you see (the title, the citation, the court, the date) is read from the record, not generated.

Three independent tiers

A citation is confirmed against our corpus, against independent public sources, or through the official eCourts record. Each is a separate check.

Silence means verified

Verified is the expected state, so it carries no badge. Decorating the normal case on every row is noise, and it reads as defensive about the one thing that should be confident.

What we could not confirm, we say

A citation no tier confirms is shown and marked plainly, with the path to check it yourself on eCourts. It is never quietly dropped and never dressed up as confirmed.

Law moves, so we check as you read

Whether a judgment still stands is asked live, every time it renders, and never cached. A judgment can be genuine and no longer good law. Those are different questions.

The 2024 criminal codes

BNS, BNSS and BSA

On 1 July 2024 three new codes replaced the colonial-era criminal statutes. No frontier language model was trained on them, so every general-purpose AI still answers with the old sections.

Indian Penal Code, 1860BNS, Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita, 2023
Code of Criminal Procedure, 1973BNSS, Bharatiya Nagarik Suraksha Sanhita, 2023
Indian Evidence Act, 1872BSA, Bharatiya Sakshya Adhiniyam, 2023

What Lawmind is not

Not a legal advice service

Lawmind assists licensed practitioners. It does not advise the public, it never phrases output as advice to an end client, and it does not claim to be a lawyer.

Not a word processor

Paragraph-level editing, citations locked. Word wins that fight and we are not having it.

Not a replacement for the physical file

You will keep carrying it. Lawmind is the preparation layer, not the file.

Not sold on the size of a database

Free government sources are genuinely good now. A corpus is table stakes. What you are paying for is the evening before the hearing.

Questions

What advocates ask first

How does Lawmind verify a citation?
Every citation is checked against three independent tiers: our own corpus, independent public sources, and the official eCourts record. The model never writes a citation from memory. It can only reference judgments handed to it from retrieved context, and every field you read comes from the stored record.
What happens when a citation cannot be verified?
It is shown to you and marked plainly, together with the path to confirm it yourself on eCourts. It is never silently removed and never presented as confirmed.
Does Lawmind know the BNS, BNSS and BSA?
Yes. The three codes replaced the Indian Penal Code, the Code of Criminal Procedure and the Indian Evidence Act on 1 July 2024. Lawmind states which regime applies to an offence, and maps old sections to new ones from official sources rather than generating the mapping.
Does the exported draft carry a watermark?
No. Consent is taken once at onboarding, covering AI assistance and your duty to verify before filing. The document you file carries no mark.
Does Lawmind work offline?
Briefings are readable offline, which is the point. Court buildings have poor connectivity and you will open your briefing standing in a corridor.
Is my client data private?
Uploaded documents and matter notes are treated as sensitive and are pseudonymised before any model call. We do not claim that removal of identifying details is complete. Coverage is partial, and we would rather tell you that than imply a guarantee we cannot make.
Does Lawmind give legal advice?
No. It is a research and drafting tool for licensed practitioners. It does not advise the public and its output is never phrased as advice to an end client.
